Medium colour. Fresh rose garden, strawberry, red cherry aromas with hints of roasted chestnut/ vanilla and white pepper. Fresh and vigorous with pure strawberry, rose water flavours, fine persistent al dente textures, superb mid palate viscosity and underlying quartz acidity. Finishes bittersweet, peppery and long. A beautifully balanced wine with lovely tension and definition. Should develop very well under cork. An excellent reference for this variety in Australia. Drink 2027-2036. 14.5% alc 97 points

2023 Giaconda Estate Vineyard Roussanne, Beechworth – Victoria
Medium pale colour. Intense lemon ginger, ripe fig, spice aromas with hints of bush garrigue. Fleshy and concentrated on the palate with fresh lemon glacé, pure lime, ginger, tropical fruit flavours and sinuous fine al dente textures. Wonderful mid palate viscosity and fresh long quartz acidity. Minerally saline at the finish with aniseed notes. A highly exotic and expressive wine; so familiar yet strangely different like the polarising magnets. A complete paradox. A wonderful experience. Drink now – 2030+ 13.8% 96 points
